I booked the Wolf Camp just 2 days before it started, and Wolf Mama was incredibly accommodating with my last-minute request. Communication via WhatsApp was very thorough — from drop-off... read more and pick-up timings to the venue, as well as what to bring and wear. There were also frequent updates in the group chat, which gave me great reassurance that my child is safe and well cared for. The coaches who are with them clearly take excellent care of the kids. After a long and exhausting day at work, it was heartening to come home and hear my child excitedly share stories about her day at Wolf Camp and how much fun she had. It was truly reassuring, and enrolling her in this day camp was one of the best decisions I made this March holiday. However, I happened to chance upon the Google review from Wood Worth: At East Coast Park near Starbucks. Saw a male coach let a presumably 5 year old girl sat on his lap for a prolonged period. A female coach just sat beside him munching her food. Both coach are non-Chinese and non-Caucasian. Uncomfortable to see this, in my opinion, inappropriate behaviour, as a parent. Thank you for raising this concern. As a parent, I appreciate when such observations are shared. At the same time, I believe Wolf Camp takes the safety and well-being of all children in their care very seriously. The coaches are there to provide support and reassurance when needed, and the camp has clear guidelines on appropriate conduct at all times. For example, I understand that boys and girls are separated during shower time after water activities. I have also been assured that male coaches do not enter the toilets, even to assist the children. The children are guided to dress themselves, and if they require help, they are taught to approach female coaches in an appropriate and supervised setting. While it is important to address any concerns, it is also important to avoid assumptions or misunderstandings, especially when based on limited observation. As parents, our priority is to ensure our children are safe, and I trust that any concerns raised will be taken seriously and reviewed appropriately by Wolf Camp. It may also be helpful to focus on the behaviour itself rather than the background of the individuals involved, as describing the coaches by race (e.g. “non-Chinese, non-Caucasian”) can unintentionally come across as sensitive or inappropriate. That said, I am confident that Wolf Camp will look into this matter internally to better understand the situation and ensure that all interactions remain appropriate and aligned with their standards. My child and I are already looking forward to our next holiday camp experience with Wolf Camp!
